Motorised Lighting Truss
This girls' school drama studio had an existing lighting grid which could be winched down to low level so students could rig it from the ground. However, it had no safety rating and the school was keen to update it to meet current safety standards.
We took the opportunity to provide a bigger lighting truss giving more effective coverage to the whole room. The whole truss is on motorised chain hoists so it can be easily raised and lowered for pupils or staff to rig without access equipment.
The drama studio is laid out for ‘theatre in the round’ but the lighting rig we installed is capable of lighting the space in any given configuration.
